All day starin' at the ceiling makin'
Friends with shadows on my wall
All night hearin' voices tellin' me
That I should get some sleep
Because tomorrow might be good for somethin'
Hold on
Feelin' like I'm headed for a breakdown
And I don't know why

But I'm not crazy, I'm just a little unwell
I know right now you can't tell
But stay awhile and maybe then you'll see
A different side of me
I'm not crazy, I'm just a little impaired
I know right now you don't care
But soon enough you're gonna think of me
And how I used to be me

I'm talkin' to myself in public
Dodgin' glances on the train
And I know
I know they've all been talkin' about me
I can hear them whisper
And it makes me think there must be something wrong
With me
Out of all the hours thinkin'
Somehow I've lost my mind

But I'm not crazy, I'm just a little unwell
I know right now you can't tell
But stay awhile and maybe then you'll see
A different side of me
I'm not crazy, I'm just a little impaired
I know right now you don't care
But soon enough you're gonna think of me
And how I used to be

I've been talkin' in my sleep
Pretty soon they'll come to get me
Yeah they're takin' me away

I'm not crazy, I'm just a little unwell
I know right now you can't tell
But stay awhile and maybe then you'll see
A different side of me
I'm not crazy, I'm just a little impaired
I know right now you don't care
But soon enough you're gonna think of me
And how I used to be
Yeah how I used to be
How I used to be
Well I'm just a little unwell
How I used to be
How I used to be
I'm just a little unwell

Jesus Christ, I had that damned line "...I'm not crazy, I'm just a little..." stuck in my head for 15 years! Finally I found this blasted song...and surprise surprise, it's actually great! Brings back memories from my childhood, playing with Lego whilst listening to the radio in the background. Good times.

I was diagnosed with anxiety disorder in high school, after having a mental breakdown. This song helped me get through that time. Now after struggling with alcohol abuse for years, I'm 3 days sober and experiencing withdrawal symptoms. Had to listen to this song again.

This song is so great most songs these days have weird lyrics that don't make any sense but these lyrics have meaning I love this song

I can really relate to the line, "I'm not crazy; I'm just a little unwell. I know right now you can't tell." Because my mom thought I was just mimicking my sister when I was diagnosed with depression. My dad doesn't think I need therapy.

Worked my first job at burger king when I was a teen in 2003, they played this song over and over again, till it became a permanent memory.

Wow, I never realized how much I can relate to this, until now.

I just found the name of this song today. I knew it was vintage but I actually thought it was a lot older. I was surprised to find out it was created 2002-2003. I was in high school at that time around 16 years old. That was about 21 years ago. I am now 36. I love this song! And I didn’t even pay attention to what it says until today! I have heard this song for years and didn’t even realize it represents a lot of myself

I’m a veteran with severe PTSD. I’m a Ex POW and have my daily and nightly struggles and face some serious demons of my own that I have to battle constantly. This song is so real and I feel when listening to it that I can really relate and it helps.
