Akiane Kramarik is an American poet and painter. She began drawing at the age of four. Kramarik's best-known painting is Prince of Peace, which she completed at the age of eight. This gripping documentary explores the stories of Akiane and also Ariel Lanyi, a 10-year old pianist and composer from Israel who was fed classical music from the moment of his birth.

What I found most sad is that after the boy played at the bar at such a late hour, he asked his father if he did well and fathers response was dissatisfied! that he could have done better! The boy excused himself that he was tired and he was holding his tears back, he just wanted his fathers approval, and it was his fathers job to say „son you did your best even though it’s so late and you must of been tired, I am so proud of your strength“. This boy will never be enough, it’s a tactic to push other to work hard to please a parent.

Life is so much bigger than the living. Talent is beaten out of children at school now. I grea up being allowed to do anything artistic I wanted, I painted, sewed, generally created everything all my youth and today I still create every day.

I sense emotion and professionalism and genuine artistry.

Ariel’s father is too much! Is he living vicariously through his boy?! The boy is now programmed to please dad at all cost to himself. Yes, Ariel is extremely talented and disciplined but his needs should be considered.

That’s an awful lot of pressure for the young boy. Some things must be kept age appropriate, so keeping him up working into the wee hours and working like an adult was just not something I would have done with my child, genius or not. He has his whole life, so allow him to be a child first.

That little boy asking if he did ok to his father😢 and he says we’ll talk about that later and shows such disappointment…this is when it’s abuse.The child is tired and the father sees dollar signs. He could of played one more song and bid the audience goodnight. This is child abuse. I’m so sorry sweet boy. What you are able to do is just beautiful, but do it when it’s only still fun. You have to know that no matter what , you are ENOUGH! Notice his words at the end? It will not be ours. 😢

There are lots of omissions here. She's genuinely a genius, but there are good teachers backing her. I can see the method there. It's not like she learns by herself, but always humans need a kind of superpowers to watch. I can tell you, from my own experience, that when we are kids (most of all of us), we have a very high potential to learn. The point is to get all the factors in our favor. Now, I can see her paintings are really good, but she still needs more knowledge to apply and learn

I've always thought she was amazing but note this is an old video about her (at 13 and she's now 28). I'm now very curious how she is doing.
