Boing Boing's Xeni Jardin speaks with John Cusack and Elizabeth Banks, the stars of “Love and Mercy,” a film about the life, love, and musical genius of the Beach Boys' Brian Wilson. The movie stars Paul Dano as a young Wilson, John Cusack as an older Wilson navigating mental illness and surviving a history of family alcoholism and abuse. Elizabeth Banks plays Melinda Ledbetter, who helps the older Wilson escape from an abusive relationship with a controlling therapist played by Paul Giamatti.
