Aw I'm sad you never went! I was lucky enough to have gone a couple of times, had no idea that 2019 was gonna be the last time like... ever

Watching a blue puppet be faced with the existential dread of life’s cyclical nature and feeling real sympathy towards them is not how i planned my monday morning to go but here we are

The ending was strikingly real.

I'm 61, and these days the only time I have for video games is whatever new Zelda is coming out.

As a young teenager, I wanted a Magnavox Odyssey or a Fairchild Channel F. I had to wait until I bought my own Atari Pong and the 2600. Then it was computers. I see so many retro channels that cater to people like me.

So many people, places, and things in my life are now memories. Most you can never revisit and are gone forever. It's fun looking back at least for a little while. Do I really want to trade what we have now for then? No. Not really.

Remember, Nostalgia is a prison if you choose to live there.

It really saddens me honestly. I know E3 was like a joke at this point, but it was really fun to look forward every year to and see all the stuff they'd do for it.

That ending from Arlo. The music stops.
"They don't ever change back... They don't ever change back. They change. And you can't stop it. You can't stop it. No matter how much you want to..."

Never seen an ending like this from Arlo and I'm oddly emotional now...

I attended E3 in 2018. Little did I know it was gonna be the final "classic" E3, cause Sony dropped out the following year and then Covid happened. Glad to have jumped on board one last time before the ship started to sink lol.

As someone who cancelled 3 birthday parties in a row due to cancellations I feel for E3.

“Things change, and the worst part is that they don’t change back”
Oh cool existential dread thanks

Man, the ending hit me _hard_ for some reason. Just that whole bit had exactly the same feelings that I've been struggling with for the last few months. I'm only 27 but I still constantly feel like I'm running out of time for some reason.

I remember being a kid and thinking "what the hell happens to adults that makes them get so weird about everything". This, this is the stuff that makes adults get all weird. You think the world is a certain way, you take so many things for granted and then one day it's gone and even though it wasn't such a big part of your life you can't help but feel like the world has gotten a little bit more alien.

Saying, "sorry, I'm in my mid-30s, " is now my default explanation for showing emotion

The ending was very depressing and real. I feel you, arlo.

I’ll miss you E3, you used to be the most hype time of the year

I remember hearing about E3 when I was a little kid, and after realizing it was an 18+ venue I couldn’t wait until I got old enough to finally be able to go. I turn 18 this year

I'm continually fascinated by how muppets can emote so many different emotions just with head position. *looks down, suddenly looks sad* *looks up, looks perky* I am relatively knew to the whole E3 scene but there was something odd when Nintendo didn't even show up in person that second year I was paying attention.

I've never had an Arlo video make me genuinely emotional before, but that ending was just so... real. I literally got teary-eyed from it and I'm not ashamed of that.

I'm going to miss E3's, especially since I never never got the chance to go to one, but with the big three companies all having their own online presentations now, and many others following suit, really, what's the point anymore?
