This is probably the best 1500m race I have ever seen. It was so sensational... And all because a beautiful athlete, by the name Faith Kipyegon, refused to give up. Well done Faith; you were simply amazing.

The 1st time I saw Faith I fell in love with her as an athlete. She's the smallest woman in the field but she gets everything out of herself possible. What courage she displays when the race speeds up and the pressure is on. In the Olympics she made a move with a few others at the halfway mark, maintained her position in the top 3, then moved with Dibaba when she put on her typical surge. Dibaba opened a 5, then a 10 meter lead but Faith remained calm and held it together. When she caught Dibaba with about 200 meters left, the race was over at that point. It was so nice to see her alone on the lead for the entire home stretch, knowing full well for those 10 to 15 seconds that the Olympic gold medal was hers.
She ran another courageous race when she battled with Hassan in a 1500M race after the Olympics. Hassan made her move early, taking the lead from Faith with a bit less then 1 lap to go. Hassan is very fast and I was hoping she couldn't break Faith with that surprise move. Faith did just as she did in this race, she maintained composure and slowly gobbled her up. Coming out of the last turn Faith just nudged into a lead but Hassan wasn't quitting either. They raced hard with Faith edging away slowly but steadily, a brilliant performance by the outstanding young lady from Kenya.
If you're not yet convinced of her ability and grit, she did the same thing here once again. She puts herself in a clear position near the lead at the half and from there it's her against the others, come and get her if you can. She came through in the 2 biggest events in the world; the Olympics and the World Championship race, a double that is extremely difficult to accomplish.
Still not convinced? After a 2 year maternity layoff Faith opted to get right back into the fire. She entered the Prefontaine Classic in California recently against a tough field and won the race in the fastest time ever run in the state of California at 159:2, several seconds faster then her previous wins. Faith could have chosen to enter a race that wasn't against the best for a warm up before taking on the best athletes, but she wasn't having it. She has 'Faith' in herself and she's proved time and again that she's the one to beat each time she enters a race.

One of the best races I've ever watched. World class line-up Denzebe, Dibaba, Simpson, Semenya, Sifan, and her highness Faith Kipyegon. What a race.

The race was awesome. Faith kipyegon is my favorite, but I appreciated the superhuman efforts Muir summoned up even though she didn't have a medal. Nevertheless the comments were magnificent. Lots of love from Bafoussam, Cameroon

If you look at something 1000 times, you are in danger of discovering something new. I noted that this must be the longest sprint that i have witnessed of any women event. close to 600m sprint. Congrats Faith Kipyegon
