As a little girl I wanted a Barbie so bad but my mother thought they were ugly so I never got one. Somehow the subject came up while I was on a date with my then boyfriend (and now husband) and that Christmas he bought me Christmas Barbie. That was 29 years ago and to this day it remains my most favorite gift. I bring her out and set her under the tree every Christmas!

On wendnesday I went to the cinema to see the Super Mario Bros Movie. The Barbie teaser started and the people went crazy with cheering and applause when the Barbie logo appeared on screen (the first ones, being a group of teen boys). That sounds so promissing and epic!! ^^

In the most recent trailer, released after this video, there is another details hidden in the subtitles: The older woman Barbie is talking to in the real world is named "Ruth". You know, like Ruth Handler, the mother of Barbie and the co-founder of Mattel. A nice detail to add.

Seriously, I will go see that movie 😊. I had a few Barbies growing up, some of the originals ( I'm 67 yes old). I was also into superheroes at the time, so my Barbie dolls didn't exactly do the themes that came with each of them.😅

This 2nd trailer makes me feel like live action version of Barbie: Life in the Dreamhouse series animation way back except the people are named Barbie or Ken but seems like the comedy concept will still be there.
