I loved this song from July of 1975. Ah, the good old days when music was great.

Funny video, but people really didn't dance like this to this song. They actually did 'the hustle'. Guys and girls held hands, spun each other, and 'hustled'. Before my time but I LOVE watching them do this dance.

1975! Summer, fall. The Hustle all over USA radio stations non stop. Cruising in my 1964 Mercury Comet Caliente 2 door hard top hearing this non stop on my Am radio in August 1975 to Arbys roast beef restaurant in West Covina California for my 2 Arbys roast beefs at 65¢ each. Then filling my gas tank at the local Shell station at 40¢ a gallon premium leaded gas with 105 octane! Ford still in the white house! Those days are long gone and never to return. Great time, great people, great country, great music, glad I lived it, and so did you.

Of all the videos I've seen on YouTube of people doing "The Hustle" dance this is the closest to what I remember from the day. In 1975 at my company's Christmas party a professional dancer was brought in to teach us all how to do "The Hustle" dance. I was 25 at the time and it is an experience that I'll never forget.

This is making me feel old I was a young 17 when I danced this in holiday centres we were in Butlins and Wales on holiday in 1975 when this was released.
