I typically figure the amount of money I want to use for the trade. Then i use half of that to make my starter entry. That way if it pulls below my entry a bit I can take full position and get better avg. Unless I'm scalping in a runner for a quick in and out profit.

Difference is with breakouts you’re getting confirmation, trying to predict the double bottom is punting.

What about the golden rule "Don't try to pick tops and bottoms"?? Why would you buy before the price U turns?

we are entering the trade because we are trading the double bottom if we enter the lower second bottom how would we know it will be a double bottom

Mark, at the end you talk about either being too early or too late to the trade. BOTH of those aggravate me, I'm a little but more tolerant of being in too early. Can you talk a little bit more about getting somewhere in the middle, being more "just right"? Can you link me to other videos if you've talked more in depth about this subject?

OK so i start a trade at the support and it shoots up about 7 pips and i am still -3dollars
