As British Black guy I’m proud of Gina now getting the opportunities and success in the USA that she never got in the UK. It really exposes the covert racism in the UK, where the British love saying they are tolerant, but don’t give black people the same opportunities whites. She was one of the funniest comedians in Britain for 25 years and never given a show, while every white comedian of her generation was given UK shows on the BBC, ITV or channel 4. Gina success, like Idris Elba, Chiwetel Ejifori, David Oyellowo, Daniel Kaluuya, John Boyega, Aaron Pierre, Alfred Enoch, Lashana Lynch, Rege-Jean Page and many more struggled to get any opportunities in the British film and TV, but became stars in America because they where not excluded due to their race like in the UK.
