This is by far the best Proj. Marmot video. Ordinarily, the videos have been narrated instruction of an encounter, played over raw footage of the fight. While useful, it always seemed a lost opportunity to fully exploit the medium.

This vid, however, perfectly utilizes the advantages of a video guide; it shows visual instructions, (notably as they relate to positioning) and juxtaposes the spoken guide with what is happening in the footage.

Another tip for anyone doing this. If the flame adds enrage due to a flame wall hitting them its not the end of it, have a rogue with anestetic(pardon my spelling if off) on thier main or off hand weapon and have them do fan of knives on the those targets, helps for if more than one flame add enrages since the poison removes the effect.

There is no enrage timer since it took my guild 25 min to do 2 drakes (not experienced lol).

This video is the best one I've seen and would recommend to all guilds attempting the 3 drakes encounter.

The problem I've always had with this, even with attempting 1 or 2 drakes, is that in 10 man you only have two tanks. One is tanking Sarth, obviously, and the other tank has to pick up the drakes... but what about the Fire Elementals that spawn? As OT, if I grab the elementals then I'm not watching for the drakes, and if I get the drake then the elementals are running amok on the raid.

the addon is recount, its the real time dps graph... its uses HUGE system resources but its nice to see

on normal, the key is the dps. if they can nuke down the 3 drakes quickly (if all putting out 2k dps, its about 15 seconds per drake) then the OT can go back to the lava bursts.
alternatively, if you have a plate dps like a warrior, DK or pally then you can have them temporarily take the lava bursts as they d0n't hit very hard. we used this with a retri pally but he died so the last set of adds had to be dealt with by a metamorphosis warlock. (not advised due to 30 second duration, 3 min CD)

That macro used to set your maximum zoom distance further then you could actually slide the bar in the options menu, Blizzard however fixed this, and the slide bar in the option menu now let's you set ur max camera distance to the maximum. I'm guessing that's why it didn't work, it's because you already have ur max camera distance set to the highest value.

do the ranged dps go through the portal after first two drakes are down and do they even dmg the drakes or sartharion????
