We are super excited to have special guest Dr Stu McGill on the show all the way from Canada.

Dr McGill is a world renowned scientist, author clinician and educator working heavily in back injury, core function and pain management through assessment, therapy and exercise.
In this conversation we discuss a wide range of topics including his favourite core exercises, why QL is such a crucial muscle for core stiffness, the role of mechanical damage in pain, why burpees aren't great for spine longevity and his own training.

Darren and/or Jacob, next time you guys have Stuart, can u ask him ¿who is the leading person on the shoulder pain understanding mechanism and rehab like he is with the low back pain?, ¿what are the big 3 for the shoulder?

So can I still do burpees when my back stops hurting?

You never got to ask the question of effective training for the quadratus lumborum.

Or is it another case of simply doing the "big 3"?

Yeah, right when he was saying what we all came to hear, they interrumped him. 🤦🏻‍♂️ And they did it a couple of times. 🤷🏻‍♂️

12 minutes of meaningless chat. Then, it took the bearded guy 12 min or so to ask his question, and another meaningless question at that. A helpful tip: the next time you invite a guest, prepare your questions in advance, word them clearly and succinctly, and write them down. And another tip: let the guest speak and do not interrupt the guest.
