U.S. Chess. Hall of Fame. Inducted 1993. Born in France but raised in Hungary, Pal Benko earned the title of Hungarian Chess Champions at the age of 20. Pal Benko was a Hungarian-American grandmaster and two-time candidate for the world championship

After the FIDE candidates 2024 there was nothing to watch, so I started the Bobby Fischer saga again, and here Agad posting a new Fisher game. Agad, you are the best in the business. Thank you from a untrained chess enthusiast.

Thanks Agad! I get great chess and the lady gets a good night's sleep thanks to you! Glad this game is now in a high frame rate.

We relied on newspapers and frequent visits to chess clubs to be up to date with the chess world; this happened when I was a teenager so I remember all the drama around chess; those were great times, and the only good thing about technology nowadays is we could play with people all over the world, but nothing beat OTB matches, it was more challenging, less cheating and better chess players 😯

It's funny that Antonio says long time subscribers to the channel probably even remember this game from 7 years ago. I can't remember any of the blitz games I played today, how am I going to remember a game that I watched 6 years ago?

El Bobberino would raise hell if he was playing in this era

Benko lived for many years afterwards. Good to see a photo of him in his younger days.

"Fischer's light square bishop, a a a a a creature of legends" agadmator 2024 my new t-shirt 😂
I remember this game! One of those 7+ years subscribers thanks to you, #agadmator, from Romania, for this awesome ride! I read some books of chess and I am into the game of Go, I really enjoy these two games (chess and go/baduk). You bloomed, man, you really developed a lot ✌️ I appreciate your relaxed, also profound description of the game and your way of teaching. I would like to ask you if there is an incoming first pilot of online interview series with chess players and chess news as two new types of chess related content 🤓

Just based on the tournament standings, it looks like an exciting chess era. Larry Evans is in the middle of the pack with 4 wins, 5 losses, and only 2 draws. Even Fischer has more losses than draws. Very aggressive era

i am sort of obsessed with Fischer. would you ever explore some of his biggest loses? i find those just as fascinating

Fischer was the greatest chess player. Period!
Not only was he the most gifted natural player ever,
without him, these guys today wouldn’t be making the big money that they are making. I’m talking the elite players.

For example, when Spassky won the world championship in 1969 he made up whopping $2500.
It was Fischer, who made it possible for the world “elite” players to make big money playing this game.
