People in Kherson are cheering as Ukraine retakes control of the city, while Russian forces withdraw.

This was the first Ukrainian city to be captured by Russia, and the only regional capital to fall under Russian control at any point this year.

I wanted to comment on Canadian Forces recruiting issue stories but there isn't a single one that allows comment!
What I wanted to say was that I think a very economic solution for filling the recruiting gaps in NATO military needs could probably filled by Ukrainian paperclips. It seems to me like a happy future for these honourable heroes could be our own boon! Our western history is broken in the Ukrainian ethic. Well paying jobs are hopefully on the horizon for these brave people.

At minute 1:37 the reporter makes a huge blunder saying soon the weather will slow down the military campaigns on both sides. This like much of the Wests reporting is wrong. Soon the ground will freeze making it easier for the Russian Federation to move tanks across the fields deeper into Ukraine . The time for Kiev to negotiate is now, while in a temporary strong position. Our country continues to War our way to Peace. That simply cannot work without the total destruction of Ukraine. Simply put, our inability to force Kiev to the bargaining table again (Remember the Minsk Agreement) and enforce compliance is the issue.

I am happy for every victory you win, Ukraine. I notice many Russian trolls in the threads, casting doubt. With a distant war, it's hard to know what's happening, but one wonders how long Putin will be able to throw his country's resources against Ukraine when most of the world supports it.

Lol ok not to be a party pooper but This isn't victory... it's a well processed military move from Russia. As they don't want unnecessary casualties. Since Ukraine was bombing right into kherson kherson has a lot of russian civilization russia moved most of the civilians out of that area now so they moved back to wait for the ground to freeze. After that it's most likely gone get very rough for Ukraine.

Two things: 1. The Russians evacuated the Russian people in Kherson before they left, so of course the people remaining would be pro Ukraine. 2. They only left the city, Kherson is both a city and a region, much like a Canadian province. So the media claiming this big victory for Ukraine is like if I said Russia pulled out of "Quebec" only for it to be shown they only pulled out of Quebec City and still kept the rest of the province.
