I think that we should stop cancelling people for stupid stuff they did when they were young and dumb, when they are clearly changed people. I don't see why we should blame them for acting horribly when they don't act horribly anymore, and I'm honestly tired of this happening to every influencer ever. Please just let them be.

He’s said so many times “I hate who I was when I was younger”, “teenager me was awful” and “I don’t like my teenage self” and it shows that he regrets his actions through change and real support. He didn’t just show he’s changed through words, but through action as well.

I’m so tired of this “cancel culture”. I’m also tired of people being judged for things they’ve said and done years, sometimes decades ago (esp some politicians). Isn’t it possible that people can change? Isn’t that what we want? We want close minded people to open their eyes and SEE how their actions & beliefs are wrong. With cancel culture, we never give people the chance to become better people (unless they’re just so horrible and still belong to horrific organizations like the KKK, Nazi’s etc)

If it’s proven to be true, then cancel culture would probably happen (which I explained in a comment how/when I think it’s appropriate).
If true, I still stand by my POV of giving people 2nd (or more) chances to change for the better. RDJ is the reason I have this belief.
If he does get cced for this, then I would understand a lot more of why others are for it. Then again, look at Chris Brown…similar to this case, but he’s turned over a big brand new leaf (I actually felt sorry & even angry that he couldn’t do his MJ dance. Bc he was excellent—u can find clips of his practice on YT—but most people cced him without giving him a chance. This was from almost 15 yrs. This is why I stand by my original post.

Does he regret it? Yes. Did he apologize? Yes. Do you HAVE to accept his apology? No. Does Wilbur try to hide that he hated what he did when he was younger? No. Let's not cancel him. He's educated now, and apologized.

if Wilbur soot gets cancelled I will cry forever. Wilbur is a very nice guy and he has said that he hated his teenage self and knows what he did was wrong. He is a changed man.

I do believe people can change, but until they can show me, they have truly changed. I will not be supporting them no longer. I've come across this short lots of times and I've decided to tell my opinion. He literally called himself a dickhead when he looked back at himself in his younger self. He hated himself before and chose to become a better person. He's done it thru words and thru action. He's become more educated and humble. That's why we love him and his personality. Wilbur has said many times he hates his younger self and doesn’t even try to hide it. This doesn’t even surprise me since there was a racist lyric in one of his old songs which he later changed because he realised as a person that it wasn’t right. I genuinely think he’s a good guy who has changed.
