Carol Howe was good friends with Bill Thetford, Co-scribe of A Course in Miracles and his biographer in the book entitled "Never forget to laugh". I interviewed her for an A Course in Miracles Documentary that I am doing. We had talked for 90 minutes already and this became a comfortable, natural, wonderful conversation that felt like we were two long-time friends sitting on the couch together!!

Carol gave a loving twist to a question with no answer: what is the most important principle?

She answered with words of her own experience without being doctrinaire of only one answer.

It is difficult to conduct interviews on ACIM a non-dual path that can't be explained like we can in any academic subject matter. Carol understands the problem and very gently hinted a way out.

What’s interesting and confusing I guess is that different teachers stress different principles of the Course. Many stress the fact that we are not the personal self. Or that forgiveness is our only function. If I’m focusing on my brother’s faults and trying to “ learn from them” it seems like that merely serves to make the error real.
