Unfortunately I don't have any of these early silver peices. But considering almost all my others are of silver or silvered because of my own enjoyment of ancient silver coins. Gotta start looking. Great vid Leo on the early silver. As always thx for all your work

My oldest coin is a 2011 silver maple lol I love watching these videos. I have a minor in classics from a lifetime ago, so a lot of these videos bring back distant memories. Thanks for the quality content!

2550 years old. How much majesty does that evoke! Such an old and venerable object

i just picked up a beautifully struck full stater! I am loving the incuses on the reverse, they are the most detailed I have seen. The obverse even has a bit of the die square on the top and right portion of the field. super beautiful! i was so excited! Great episode as usual! You have become my go to for coin content, especially of the ancient world! keep up the good work!

I've been collecting Roman coins for close to 50 years now, the only "Greek" coins in my collection are provincial coins. So my oldest silver coin is a Republican denarius that only goes back to 154 B.C. Some of the coins you show in this video are fully 400 years older! (mind blown) I've only recently (last 10 years or so) expanded into Roman Republican coins.

I have a Croeseid half-stater and a Carradine type III Siglos. Thank you again for a very interesting and informative video. It was very interesting to see the complete range of Croeseid coin sizes, I did not know there were so many. Also the smallest piece, with just the lion's head looked very like my little coin from Miletos and now I understand why that had the lion's head also.

Thanks for showing those old coins! Very cool that you have something that old, let alone a set of them. My oldest coin is an 1817 Spanish Piece of 8 that is whole and in pretty good shape. And my smallest coin is a US gold dollar from 1868. Keep up the good work! Things like this will hopefully get more young people interested in Numismatics.

My oldest coin is an Achaemenid Siglos. The smallest silver coin I have might be a Hungarian denar of Bela II that weighs 0.29 grams.

My oldest silver coin is a Roman/Greek regional coin from the Aegean, approximately 5g so about the size of a denarius but not a denarius. :) Likely a drachma struck after the Roman conquest. I haven't had it formally identified, though I've had it in my collection for over 20 years.
The next to oldest silver coin I have is a leeuwendaalder from the 1600s. :)

These are surprisingly affordable, I got a killer good example of a FULL stater for about $600. Amongst the crown jewels of my collection.
