Another aspect of that Chelsea Barcelona tie is that it was also a revenge saga. They also face each other in a semi final three years prior when we got the infamous "Its a disgrace!" moment.

And Torres and Chelsea had been getting disrespected like crazy all season it was peak... If the Drogba header felt like destiny, that Torres goal made me wonder if actually karma exists.

That Chelsea UCL run was something special. I watched the final again a couple months back and wow. That was really something special. Same with that semifinal. My god. That team had no right heading to the final, but that’s what makes football so so beautiful. You just never know what will happen.

Edit: Jib… I’m gonna have to disagree with ya on Victor Valdes. Has to be one of the most underrated Spanish goalkeepers. Feel he doesn’t get his flowers often.

2013/14 season was the best. Very thrilling PL season with Suarez being an absolute monster and almost bringing Liverpool the title, Atletico Madrid stunning everyone with winning La Liga, also they reached the Champions League final which they almost won if not for ramos equalizing in injury time, and of course one of the best world cups ever at the end of that season

11-12 was crazy, but my favorite season might be 2018-19. You had the best Prem title race with City on 99 and Liverpool 98 pts, 2 of the most entertaining games oat in City 2-1 Liverpool, the insane Stones clearance and Firmino’s wonderful team goal, and City 4-3 Spurs’ dramatic clash, Ajax had their incredible underdog story with the 4-1 at the Bernabeu, United knocked out PSG, Liverpool came back against Barca, Messi was arguably at his most complete, only negative about that season is the UCL final between Liverpool and Spurs, which is the absolute worst I’ve ever seen.

My favourite season was (as a Reading supporter) that 2005/06 season. Winning the Championship with a record 106 points and promotion to the top tier of English football for the first time since inception in 1871. I wasnt even quite 10 by the time that season finished and was the first season I properly followed. My Dad took me to a match against Crewe. They only lost twice that season. The 2006/07 was also phenomenal finishing just one place and a single point off European qualification.

As a Real Madrid fan who got into watching it in 2010, 2012 season was a high and low roller coaster. That UCL exit against Bayern traumatized 7 year old me, so much that I threw a tantrum and was grounded by my mother. However, we finally won the league right after I became conscious of the notion of trophies. Until then the only thing i knew was "the team in white scores, I'm happy"

Chelsea winning 1st Champions League trophy that season was CRAZY!!! Semi-finals and final matches were unbelievable, but their Big comeback against Napoli in Round of 16 after losing 1st match 3-1 and getting 4-1 win in extra time in return leg. This definitely needs to be highlighted. 🏆💪💙

13/14 is deffo my favorite: first silverware as an Arsenal fan, la decima, 2014 world cup, neymar signing for Barca, Athleti winnjng the league, Yaya Toure and Suarez hoop sessions every week, the Gareth Bale goal, Gerrard’s slip.

10/11 was my personal favourite season because a Manchester United team that EVERYONE was putting down went on to win the league, and that just made me feel so vindicated against all my Chelsea and Liverpool fan friends in highschool. Best feeling.
