Don’t change a thing, Scott. I love the ad hoc “hey, I find this interesting .... let me share what I’m thinking”. Your “style” is precisely what makes it great and genuine. It is as if we are having a stream of conscientiousness interaction. Personal interaction, without being personal. Stay true to yourself and don’t shine it all up.

Can't wait for Scott's analysis of Ingenuity's flight!

Your channel is a stark contrast to all those polished to the minute detail channels with self-promotion, merchandise, a whole team behind the scene and everything optimized for the algorithm. And I love it. These other channels are businesses and there is nothing wrong with that. But you are the guy everyone can relate to, the awesome science teacher, the nerdy neighbour you can share a beer with and just love to listen to what he has to tell. You are approachable, funny and with an incredible knowledge. Never change.

The only video where "Depends on the alignment of the planets" is actually a scientifically accurate statement

Whenever there is space news, this is my go-to channel. Spacex blows up, Arecibo collapses, Ingenuity flies, all bring the same reaction: let's see what Scott Manly can tell us about it!

Scott manley is the only youtuber who doesnt care about the huge amounts of ad revenue he could get from YouTube instead he just does his normal job. Awesome person.

I think it's fine that you're doing this as you like it on your own time, and maintaining high standards for researching and sources.

I really have to emphasize the comment of Arnold! I have a PhD in physics and have been working now in science education for quite some time and I have to say, your „amateur“ content is often times more correct and more educational than some of the content of science channels that are supposedly doing this more „professionally“. So I really cannot stress that point enough! What you do is really of amazing quality!

Don't change your channel Scott. Love it the way it is.

It's kinda important that it's all somewhat amateurish looking. You just look like some dude who happens to know some stuff. It makes you very approachable and when you're dealing with complex topics like space, it really helps

Having watched Scott since I was a kid, and now being an Aerospace grad, the end almost brought a tear to my eye - we love how you are! Never feel the need to change.

honestly I like your 'scappy' style. less time spent messing with editing, more time to hear how you tick.

You don't need to change, Scott. I love that you don't talk down to your audience (like certain "professional" science programs do), you assume your audience is reasonably intelligent, has a sense of humour, and does not need every little thing hammered home several times in an over-dramatic manner. Keep up the excellent work, Scott! .

They always ask "How does this work Scott?"

But they never ask "How are you doing Scott?"

You are already sticky.
We all turn to you as your analysis is fantastic. You're not afraid to get techy and geeky, but you do a good job of carrying us along to the point of understanding a bit of the tech and geeky stuff needed for the analysis. I very much appreciate that!

Noooo ! Definitely NO, don’t change anything about your channel.
You’re unique and your channel is unique and by pure chance you’ve struck the perfect style. The vast number of your followers reflect this very fact.
I’m sure there are many of your subscribers that immediately click on your next video the moment the notification pops up. Well I do!
I follow you from way down on the east coast of South Africa from Brighton Beach, Durban, South Africa..

Scott, Please keep your "scrappy" style videos because your science content is absolutely unparalleled and will be of great educational value for decades to come.
😉👍

Never change, Scott! To me you are the most informative rocket engineering and astronomy channel, and I appreciate your thoughtful commentary and competent explanations. I hope you are selected for Dear Moon. I couldn't think of anyone more deserving.
Edit: do you happen to have a playlist you would be willing to share?

I think making top quality could just strip the soul and uniqueness which we're all love.

I think the 99% on the raptor came from “99% combustion efficiency” as in 99% of the propellant burning up inside the engine
