The BEST Dual-Monitor MacBook Dock

The Razer Thunderbolt 4 Dock is one of the best options for both Mac and Windows users wanting to expand their ports and connect to a dual-monitor setup. This dock has allowed me to take advantage of my high refresh rate (160hz) gaming monitor, use all of my peripherals, and connect to power all with just a single cable.

Can you please try to see if it will work with an iPhone instead of a Mac? The adapters for iPhone they sell to plug in HDMI, aux and USB are stressful on the port and worrisome as it just hangs off of your device looking sloppy when in use. I would really appreciate it!

I use Dell D6000 docking station with display link drivers and im able to connect 3 1080 monitors to macbook air M1, I didnt tried with 4k monitors, but 250€ for a dock is really good.

couple of questions.
1. Can you connect the the apple magsafe 140 watt PS to the M1 Pro 16 while using the dock so no power issues
2. The dock has 3 thunderbolt 4 downstream ports, but you said you use 1 usbc to usbc for one monitor and 1 usbc to hdmi for the 2nd monitor, and then you said you have 2 more thunderbolt 4 ports, do you mean the ones left on your mac, the dock only has 3 and you used 2 .

regarding temperature 1:30 you mention that it runs very hot, but your thermometer displays 87º Fahrenheit ... which is 30, 5ºC and that is tepid. It would be nice to know what temperature it really reaches when functioning for a while.

Hi Cole. Nice video, great setup. Wanted to ask you a question regarding the 16" M1 Max. Can I connect 2 Dell 4919DW (5140 x 1440 at 60hz) screens directly to the laptop via usb-c? Now this is my worry. Each monitor is 90w, with the usb-c cable the Dell is video signal and charges a Macbook. Amy problem connecting 2 Dell monitors with 90w? As you know the 16" M1 Max comes with a magsafe of 140w. Does the M1 Max laptop kind of regulate the power or reduces and takes charge from only 1 connected usb-c monitor, and only video signal from the second usb-c monitor? How does it work? Thanks

Did you encounter any issues with this dock? Some tb4 docks reportedly to have the problem of disconnecting the ports and ethernet randomly, and might not work right out of a sleep (need to replug).

Hi Cole, I see that you have a PC next to your desk. How do you switch between sources so your monitor can display both the mac and the PC of course at different times. Do you simply have multiple inputs into the monitor?
