I'm Jason, a full-time British Travel Vlogger and YouTuber who's been to 53 countries. I've been travelling around the world full-time since 2017. So far, my trips have taken me to Asia, Africa, Europe, the Middle East and the Americas.

I have travel series' from many of the world's best (and least) known destinations. I filmed the first vlogs on my channel in the summer of 2016 after spending a year living in China. A proper solo trip around Eastern Europe followed after graduating from University in the summer of 2017, taking me to Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, North Macedonia and Kosovo. This trip marked the start of my efforts to make a YouTube full-time job.

After that European trip I went heavily into exploring Asia, visiting India, Bangladesh, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, Pakistan, the Philippines, South Korea and Kazakhstan (seeing me cover a lot of Far East and Southeast Asia in particular).

I have also travelled to North Africa and the Middle East fairly extensively over the last five years, filming videos in Turkey, Algeria, Tunisia, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, Iraq, Jordan, Israel and Palestine.

To date, I have not yet been to Australasia or South America. Though I am hoping to visit the latter sometime in 2022, along with a first stop in the Caribbean.

I've travelled to North America just once as a YouTuber, visiting Mexico in 2021. Though I have been to both the USA and Canada, this was only as a child on family holidays.

In 2022, I took my first trip to Sub Saharan Africa, visiting both Kenya and Tanzania.

Africa is totally different in reality than the stereotype western media. Great job on walking around and showing us Tanzania.

I was raised in Dar (TZ Born) - and i probably walked these streets countless times. Even recognize some of the businesses and buildings and who owns them. This video makes me want to fly back ASAP and visit some of my friends and family that still live there. So many memories!

Just for your info: Dar es salaam was known as Mzizima not Zaramo. Zaramo is the local tribe who used to and still very much live in and around current day Dar es salaam.

Thanx for this tour Jason. This city Dar es Salaam was the first African city I landed in and visited. I stayed in an Airbnb in Mikocheni. Had a great time. Great people. Beautiful country. Interestingly I flew the Precision Air airline to Kilimanjaro 2 weeks after, so we did the reverse. Thanx for the memories. My visit was Oct 2020. Can't wait to return.

Top tip, I grew up in Dar es Salaam and if you do want to bring a painting back with you, just ask the artist to take it off the wooden frame and then they will roll it up for you and you can easily ask to bring the individual pieces of wood with you or just buy them in your home country. Its super easy and we would send friends and family back with the paintings all the time

Love the video! Thanks for telling us so much about the history and swahili culture. I use to live in Dar in 2015 and I didn’t know of of this you told us. Now I miss Dar all the time and keep coming back. The city is such a nice mixture of everything 😊 Just which it was as safe as Zanzibar.

I used to live here in 1958. Sold african carvings and my husband was D.O. Amazing to see how Dar has changed. I remember walking the downtown streets when the frangi-pani were in bloom and sweet in the air..

Glad and proud to see the 'progress' made with many new high-rise buildings and infrastructures in Dar es Salaam. Tanzania has a soft spot in my heart and I look forward to see your journey in Zanzibar next.

I’ve never been to Africa, let alone Dar es Salaam in Tanzania. I am so impressed with how clean the streets seem from your walk to the ferry ticket office! Wow!
