We have a similar taste in books. My favorite author in Lucy Maud Montgomery she wrote Anne of green gables. But my favorite book of hers would have to be the blue castle.

TFS your book list. I have read the book by Kristin Hannah, all the light we cannot see, and the book thief sounds very familiar. I’m not really very big on autobiographies but I think I might read Educated. My problem is that I read a book and almost immediately forget about it.

I love historical novels and right now I am reading the fallen Angel by Tracy Borman. The main character is Lady Frances Tyringham who was charged with witchcraft in her earlier life. This book takes place during debauchery of the reign of King James I of England. This excellent book includes mystery, love, court intrigue, suspense, and religious plots.

I read God’s Smuggler probably 40 years ago. I enjoyed it very much. I think you might like the novel Rebecca by Daphne Du Maurer since you like Jane Eyre. I also read it many years ago and probably need to re-read.

I'm going straight from this video to read another chapter of Jane Eyre.
Also, I remember my pastors wife told me about Educated awhile ago and I was interested to read it but I couldn't remember the name!

I noticed you seem to really like WWll books so I thought I'd recommend Evidence Not Seen by Darlene Deibler Rose. It's a fantastic auto-biography about Darlene when she was a newly-wed missionary who became tangled up with the Japanese. All-in-a very inspiring story!

We started The Book Thief with our children because we loved the movie, but as Christians we had to quit because the name of Christ was used in vain MANY times. I wish I could read it, because he is a naturally perfect writer who needs little to no editing,
