It's a great little quad, but mine came with a really old version of Betaflight and it wasn't set up very well and was mostly default Betaflight settings. Emax does a pretty good job on setup and their tunes aren't too bad. I'm working on a Betaflight 4.0 tune and setup (with stock bi-blades and some others) so be on the lookout for it!

I did notice a lot of jello on that HX, that i did not see on the freestyle, even though theres more video breakup than the hx, I think im going with the freestyle. Thanks for the video Justin. great as always. Stay in the air my friend.

Thanks for the review and video. I enjoyed the flying and the information as always. Since I have a bunch of XT30 2s batteries and no 1s of the type used in the Freestyle, the HX100 it is. Also, I have had excellent experience with my other BetaFPV quad.

My understanding about 6s and a xt 30, is it's a good combo. There's less amperage going through the connector, but higher voltage. My 4s 850 with xt30 gets a little warm on my diatone gt m3 v2.

Loving my hx100. Love it with the hq 65mm props as well. I do have More on The way from diff brand for testing tho. Also 3s packs on the way. Funny thing is with packs my 2 year old packs from my brushed days work still so I’ve got a ton of 350 gnb packs thatvstill work haha. I just need to change out the lipo strap to something a little smaller and lighter. And yes it’s tough. I’ve yet to break mine but I’ve got an extra frame on the way just in case. Great review.

This looks good, much small footprint then the new emax. I want something l can fly in a public park and not have people freak out, the Mob7 did this well, l can fly it anywhere.

Hi Justin, Great video and review of the HX100, This looks like a fun little quad. I would say it is more of a toothpick than the Emax freestyle with the 2in. Props. A toothpick to me is a 65mm props and as light as possible.

HX100 is damn tough, the weak spots are the motor shafts. I cracked one bell off in a crash, the shaft snapped just under the bell. A bit more side motor protection in the frame and shorter shaft might help. This was with avan rush 2.5" props which are amazing on this quad in the tight spaces I'm flying, and they're probably a bit too strong since the shaft snapped before the prop bent.

Tough call I'm sure but what would you recommend between this one, the Geprc Phantom, Diatone GTB 229 or 329? Micro quad overload! Thanks for all the great reviews and flying as always. The spots you flew in this video are sick! High consequence and interesting
