How to Blend Colors with Brushes on Photoshop CC! (Digital Painting)

What's up everyone! Hope you guys/girls enjoyed the weekend so far. I felt a lot better today so I decided to make a new tutorial for you! This is a lot easier with a tablet! Click ALT (Mac OS, possibly same on Win) when on the Brush Tool to pick a new colour instead of pressing 'I' for the Color Picker.

but how is it blending AT ALL to begin with...colors don't blend, they just go over the one beneath it. and yes, I use a tablet. I turned it on pen pressure...

How do u get pen pressure to affect how hard or light your stroke is mine only affects size

How can I blend colors if this line will be too narrow with light pressure or too dark with hard pressure?
