Come along as my brother and I conquer the challenging airspace of LAX! We land at one of the worlds busiest airports VFR and bring you along every step of the way. ATC did a great job accommodating us in between all the heavies, hope you enjoy!

I love the way Owen handles his calls. I can't imagine flying into LAX without experience. Calls between the ATC and pilots are a science into itself. Bravo on a great safe flight Owen.

Controllers love pilots like you; no delay on the calls, crisp and clean read-backs, and able to hustle across an active runway without hesitation - the controller knew he could count on you to do that, that’s why he asked - if it was someone else, maybe not. Great video Owen! New subscriber.

I worked near LAX in the 1980s and watched planes from my office window. Smaller planes usually came in high but I never knew why. You explained at 16:40 that you were coming in high and landing long to stay above the previous plane's wake, which makes perfect sense and explains what I saw 40 years ago and didn't know the reason for. Thanks very much for a fine video.

This is a fine demonstration of how to clearly and concisely communicate with ATC.

ATCo from Europe here. You asked yourself, if ATC would prefere you flying IFR or VFR. When you have a slow aircraft between all the airliner jets, you want the slow aircraft as close as possible to the runway threshold, so when you turn the slow guy in, you block the final for the shortest time possible. The easiest way to do that, would be VFR. So yes: From my perspective as an approach controller, I would prefere VFR. Makes things much easier :-)

What a joy to see a pilot that can talk on the radio. no cringe "request taxi to the active" "this is" "with you"

Im working on my instrument license and this video is actually amazing to hear all the comms, I felt like I was learning a ton because where I fly is nowhere near as busy but I was mentally on top of the comms they gave you, awesome video

Another great video. It really illustrates the amount of work that a pilot has to do flying into LA. I don’t know who was busier you or your brother. I’ve noticed on your different videos, your sunglasses. Are you rocking Ray Bans’? They could be a good sponsor! Great video. Tomaso 😎🤙🏽

Regional rat here. Dude. Your comms and professionalism were surprising and refreshing. Usually it’s amateur hour in 91. Love the “position checks” call. No one bothers to do that anymore
