Man, this is quite an archaic approach

Thanks David. This was driving me mad on my assignment. Will try your method. I love your accent and voice by the way. You sound just like Tom Hanks.

Wow. I learned something today. I was working on a modest table in Word dealing with revenues and expenditures--and I wasn't aware you could do a text box like that. Very handy! Got my numbers, with their decimals to align flush right while the text / subject headings were flush left. Thanks!

I don't have the same text dialog box.
My 'layout box' only has in it:
Position
Text wrapping
Size

I have been searching for this for a long time for creating question papers where I have to mention the marks for each question on the right side. This suits my requirement quite well. Thank you.

Awesome it helped me to make a list of tables, in addition, to the the automatic Table of contents. I think it is an awesome methods, when we do not have too much data.

This is a highly manual way of doing things.

Just drawing the line and aligning the "periods" did it for me. Thanks, but wonder if there is a special key/symbol that draws all the periods at once. By the way, I like all my numbers aligned right so the zero in the 10 is over too far to the right. (My table has numbers in the 100's column, too.) Thanks!

This does NOT work with long documents because when you update table of content, you will not have accuare page numbers.I tried this and I know it very well.

Why did not try 'References' for making table of content ? This is not recommend for professionals..

A very ghetto approach to bypass the dumb automatic feature of word. I can't setup my page numbers on the right when I create a manual table and the auto generated templates give me AIDS

I still can't get the numbers to align to leaders properly, I have too much space between the numbers even if I do the steps
