NDev 46: WebAssembly will change how we write apps with Mitchell Hynes

We're welcoming Mitchell Hynes, Full-Stack Engineer at ReportMate and Get Coding coach, to discuss the new proposals put forth by WebAssembly and how they will change the way we build apps in the next 5 years. Mitchell will cover:

Computing at large has come a long way from POSIX. The web has become a platform for content-rich apps that are portable and accessible to all. But what about the apps that don’t belong on the web or need to work without an internet connection? What if our apps could be written in any language we choose and would be portable enough to truly write-once-run-anywhere? How does that change the game when it comes to dynamic-linking and blur the lines between programming languages? The Web Assembly Component Model will completely change how we all write apps in the next 5 years.
