This is a cover of the song "Eternity Memory of Lightwaves" composed by Noriko Matsueda and Takahito Eguchi from the soundtrack of the video game Final Fantasy X-2. The song is performed on a duet of piccolo tuned bass guitars, both tuned in fourths to ADGC. I had previously recorded a version of this song, but I was unhappy with the quality so I decided to re-record it.

Sorry, but I do not have any tabs for this song since I learned it by ear from a recording. Also, sorry for the multiple fake-out uploads for this video. I was running into issues with the audio clipping only after being uploaded to Youtube.

I did a minor truss rod and bridge adjustment just to try to even out the action along the neck. Some of the frets don't have as much sustain as I'd like, but I think that's more due to the neck being slightly warped from 8+ years of abuse than because of the string gauge. I've heard of people having to cut deeper grooves into the nut to make piccolo gauge strings sit properly, but I haven't had any problems with them to justify doing that. Thanks for watching!

I've had it explained to me that tenor tuning is just a specific type of piccolo tuning, where you tune it to ADGC, and that piccolo tuning applies to any of the light-gauge tunings. I'm not sure of that though. Either way, whatever you call it it's tuned to ADGC haha. Thanks for watching!

Sounds great! Nice and clean, with plenty of harmonics! You have a lot of talent! Could you please play "Orion" by Metallica with your piccolo bass. I think that would kick major @ss!!

I think piccolo tuning is typically EADG like regular tuning but an octave up whereas tenor tuning for a 4 string is ADGC. Could be wrong but either way nice job!
