My daughter is 13, in the 8th grade. She attends virtual class everyday but continuously turns her camera off. At that age, it feels like everyone is solely focused on you and you feel self conscious about almost everything. We know that the entire class isn't watching every move she makes, just like she isn't focusing on them either. But emotions often go from one extreme to the other, during preteen and teen years. I feel so sad for both of my children, and for all of the children that this is negatively effecting. This has gone on for way too long.

Thanks for being real! My son graduates this year and they're doing a gradual back to school, he went one day and said he won't go back. I asked him if it was like being around Nazi brown shirts and he said, "exactly". Oh, I've been red-pilling my son and his friends for a year.

Shut all public schools down! Disband the unions and school boards! Get rid of the Department of Education!

They've done nothing for our children!

Communication is already dieing and the Teachers Union is facilitating that.
What kind of TEACHERS are we employing?!
Having natural conversation is dieing for people my age 30s and under.
I left social media 10 years ago and SO THANKFUL it means nothing to me. I talk to people at shops and in public. I actually meet people they just want digital does that work in the Korea's? Suicide is HUGE because NO ONE KNOWS HOW TO TALK TO ANOTHER HUMAN BEING

Those masks on those kids have to be so disgusting by the end of the day. Are people still doing the whole mask thing in places?

Being on camera is hard to do I don’t like it myself I’m not a kid. It can’t be easy on them open schools and stop torchering the kids

The kids here can't talk to each other or even see each other. Microphones off and listen to the teacher lecture only.

When the means to fight the virus have greater and more serious consequences than the disease itself, one should change the recipe. Children cope with this virus in an excellent way, but they do not cope with being excluded from socializing with other children and not having a structured everyday life. THAT gives long-term damage we only see the outline of today..

What do you think social distancing and wearing face masks are all about Honey? This is all strategic and are being groomed to not be emotional, to be deattached..to be easily

Hey kids if you see this don’t worry it won’t last much longer. If they use common sense.

get rid of Common Core, it is the "Dumbing down" of our students that is the real problem! #1 thing is a student needs the love of learning and to know where to go to get answers, learn to trust your God given intuition when it comes to the Truth.

Your property taxes pay for those districts to run at full capacity. So, open the schools. Kids need to play in the dirt and have fun. We are training our kids to be robots to some plandemic. Not only that some parents can't teach. They have to work. So, kids are really falling behind on a lot of things other than communication skills. Kids need to be free to learn. I wonder where you money is truly going during this shutdown. As a tax payer if your schools are not open for business.. then you should get your money back and hire a private tutor to come to your house. Just like the elite do.

Just because they're in class facing you doesn't mean they're engaged. I'd ignore you just the same in class. Lighten the load? Sounds like you just want to give up. Here's an idea: Require the camera to be on to get a passing grade. Assign points for answering questions. Your job is to get them engaged. You've had a year to try out different things. What have you tried? All I hear is complaining and no effort to work with what you got.
