Building a wooden box does always take some time no matter what method you use. I found this super simple way to make small to meduim boxes.

You only need a table saw, crosscut sled and a piece of wood cut to 45 degree. Note that this is simple boxes with miter joints but you can easily make the stronger inserting som splines on each joint.

I also had a little table saw kickback in this video. A little reminder to myself and all of you watching this video.

If you like this video and technique to make wooden boxes please give me a thumbs up and subscribe to my channel for more videos.

Nice box, glad you still have your fingers! - you want to find a way to clamp those parts to your jig - and please be careful with those drawstrings on your hoodie! Best wishes.

Thank you, I couldn't figure out how to cut 45 degrees along such a long edge. This is such a simple solution, and I can use the block forever.

Dieter! Please, no drawstrings when using a table saw or similar power tools! Same thing for long sleeves and/or jewelry around the wrists.

Thanks mate! I'm new in wood crafting and your video gave me a solution since my saw can't change the angle

It never ceases to amaze me that guys are always coming up with new and easier ways to do something, thanks!

I like the block idea for cutting the miters. A hold down attached mike make it that much safer to use. An "Upgrade" I will have to think about.

Thank you for sharing this video. With minimal work, I can now make production wooden boxes of different sizes. I never realized it could be so easy. Also I like how the video is not unnecessarily long, and you did not make me listen to some crappy rap music. Thanks again.

Nice vid but be careful with kickback, and be careful with those drawstrings from your hoody :S . I knew a guy who got pulled in towards a table saw with the sting from a hoody but luckily the string snapped and it didn't hurt him could have been fatal.

I missed where you cut the groove on the bottom?

I loved that miter technique. It drove me wild watching the cords from you sweatshirt hood dance around near the saw.

Cutting small box pieces seems to always leave those little wood pieces floating around near the saw blade. Though small, they really pack a punch when the blade grabs them and throws them into your gut. Consider accessories like the Gripper or add a wide/long board to the miter face, which will push the wood cuts away from the blade.

Always something new to learn.

I was wondering if you could recommend a good tablesaw ?
