Your story about your Blockbuster Competition... it reminds me on the one item I would be most proud of, if I still had it.
Because I still had a Member Card of the Club Nintendo of the 90s!
And I lost it for so stupid reasons, that I could still cry about it - it simply can't be replaced, and ended up in the trash... and thinking back it breaks my heart.

Great stuff, G! Rayearth is among a handful of Saturn games I wish I would have spent the $35 or $40 on back when Saturn games were going cheaper used, along with Mega Man 8, X-Men vs. Street Fighter, Saturn Bomberman, etc. Very cool to hear about the Blockbuster championship as well. I love stuff like that, where you have the memorabilia and stuff from an event like that, where you held on to it for all these years. One of the things I love about game hunting is finding boxed games with original receipts, note cards or papers with scores written down, cheat codes, passwords, maps, etc. and those kinds of things. It really makes the history of the item that much more rich, so to have that sticker on the back of your Virtua Racing box is pretty cool, and while it might not increase the game's monetary value, it's easy to see why it would be valuable to you personally.

That was wholesome. When I went to SGC that same year I had Inafune sign my copy of Mega Man 3. Sure, a lot of things happened with him (Especially as of 2022), but it's still cool to meet a creator of a game especially from Japan. Also that CIB Wily Wars is a gem of an item!

Awesome story about Virtua Racing. I wound up getting a repro for my NTSC Genesis for Wily Wars, but a hell of a score there. Awesome that you got it signed by Inafune. Awesome gift from the wifey btw, gotta love it when the wives pull through with amazing surprises.

great video and loved the story for Virtua Racing and that pic takes me back to the sweet 90s! I've owned like a pc engine and turbo express boxed and complete. For me, my top 3 would be  the common things i grew up, just special because they are the originals from my childhood, my original gameboy and snes ( all my original games) and third is probably my atari lynx and a copy of bill and ted. the game sucks, but i remember playing the handheld and game at my friends house as we were HUUUGE bill and ted fans, even started calling each other that! so when i finally got it to own 20 years later, it meant something.
