Saw the early release of the entire film at the Atlantic Film Festival a few days ago. I do not kid when I say that words cannot describe how good it was. 11/10 can’t wait to see it again.

I'm in because of David Koepp (who worked as a screenwriter on Jurassic Park, Mission: Impossible, Spider-Man etc...) who in 1999 Directed STIR OF ECHOS which he adapted from the novel of the same name by Richard Matheson (I Am Legend, The Incredible Shrinking Man, Duel, The Twilight Zone etc...).

Yet despite Steven Soderbergh's mainstream success he's always been an Arthouse Director with a cold clinical style that lends itself well to Horror, Mystery and Suspense as seen in Kafka, Solaris and Unsane, the last of which was shot using an iPhone 7 while this has been shot with an Sony A79 III.

Soderbergh's use of smaller prosumer cameras is what I admire while the entire movie from what I understand is from the point of view of a ghost which is unique enough to make me want to see it in a theater!!!FACT!!!

Neon is so good at promoting their movies. I bought tickets well ahead of time for Longlegs and went the day it came out. Then while I was watching that movie, the commercial for Cuckoo came on and I was like yep, going to see that. That was also a phenomenal movie. This production company is quickly becoming one of my favorites

Two trailers were released today. One for Venom The Last Dance and then this one. I think it’s pretty safe to say which one is selling the movie quite well with its simplicity in the marketing. These are the kinds of teaser trailers I love!👏

This teaser and the first one are so simple and enough to capture our interest. Not revealing anything about the plot, but still doing something to make us intrigued by what is gong on. Exactly what any teaser trailer should do.

I want this movie to be shiver-inducing and disturbing. Not the jump scare kind...but the kind that slowly creates dread and a sense of "Oh man, no one is surviving this one and I know it." type of feel.

okay, so the family will either be worse than the ghost all at once (maniacs of sorts or whatnot) or certain members of it are awful, and the ghost will be either against them all or supporting the good part of the family against the villains in it.

This is the best a Steven Soderbergh film has been marketed in over 20 years.
It's not just that Neon's doing amazing marketing. But that they're doing it for great filmmakers, both new guys like Oz Perkins, and legends like Steven. BRAVO. Give your editors and team very very delicious cookies because this makes me hopeful.
