Thank you for the conversation. I'm really interested in learning more about open access networks in order to create decentralized computing networks. I will continue to follow your videos.

Perhaps in the future you could do a show at a drive-in restaurant!

One way that Ammon is different in that people can extend their LAN across town for an affordable price, so that for example, they can have a LAN party between multiple houses, as well as connect to each other’s private servers.

I think the reason Comcast thinks that they can get away with doing data caps in the northeast, (which simplifying things further for their customer service, ) is that most customers currently don’t use 1229 GB per month yet, and the ones who do have mostly already jumped to fiber where it is available.

Interesting how Twitter innovated the International Text Message Cap of 160 to create an initial product that had 20 char handle and 140 text msg.

I'm going to start bringing this up in every one of these videos I hear talk about "broadband competition" -- there's no such thing! Broadband is a self-complementary good on many dimensions, the simplest being: more channel diversity creates both more bandwidth and reliability in any given network regardless of topology, best with mesh topologies.
