2024 First Macau International Percussion Competition and the Sixth China Marimba Arts Festival

The "First Macau International Percussion Competition and the Sixth China Marimba Art Festival" was successfully held from July 24-26 at the Cultural Center of the Taipa Campus of the City University of Macau. The event was jointly organized by the Macau International Percussion Association, the China Marimba Association, and the Macau Study and Exchange Association, co-organized by the International Training and Testing Center of the City University of Macau and the International Wood Culture Society, and hosted by Qinao Cultural Tourism and Sports Industry Co., Ltd.

This event broke with tradition by not only including competitions for various percussion instruments but also offering concerts, masterclasses, and lectures at the City University of Macau. These activities allowed participants of different ages and skill levels to gain insights into the latest developments in percussion and marimba art, drawing inspiration from the performances and lectures. The event aimed to promote cultural exchange through music, advance percussion and marimba art, and provide a platform for in-depth exchange among musicians from around the world.
