What I Really Think About my NEW BOAT

After spending 20yrs in another boat I finally have made a change. This is what I think about it.

Those new Skeeters look so good. I think the rear end looks better than anything but the Triton. I love Zaldain’s Skeeter with the camo, it fits that boat so well!

Put a net on the lid of the livewell. Just a thin net that will tuck inside, attached to the side of the lid and the side of the livewell. It will prevent that problem. Hope that works for you.

The garbage can is the best feature on the boat. It drives me nuts having to stuff things under the seat then clean it out at the end of the day. Maybe use some double sided tape to install velcro and a mesh cover over the livewell. I wouldn't want to Free Willy until after I get my $100k check.

That’s why the back compartment for the batteries is split. You can open one and then open the live well. It’ll build a wall around the live well. Then your fish can’t get out.

If your using HDD's stop if you can. They have spinning disks and as all mechanical things do, they eventually fail. SSDs are solid state and therefore no moving parts. They are also MUCH faster and should give you the ability to record in even higher quality if you so wish. The only two downsides I can think of is that they are more expensive, and they have limited writes(Several hundred terabytes of write lifetime). Proper lifecycle management should fix the second issue. I hope you get your data back. Good luck!

skeeter killed it with the redesign models, i went with the zxr21 and i can honestly say im so pleased with this boat i have no desire to look at anything else

No joke, I had a fish jump out of my buddy's Skeeter also lol. I like Skeeters a lot and it will likely be my next boat. Their ZX series is a pretty good value. I currently have a Ranger Z20 and I love it, but the ride is no where close to my buddy's Skeeter FX21. The torque of the SHO is also very noticeable compared to my Pro XS. His boat feels really stable and planted compared to mine in rough water. MY ONLY COMPLAINT with Skeeter so far is in rough water I find myself getting misted with water a lot more than my Ranger. I'm not sure if it's hull design or what, but I find myself getting wet a lot more on windy days.

Put some pool noodles in there. Prevents them from jumping out. I have a ZX 225 and it works great.
