This featured orchid actually bloomed for me last year...but I waited to feature it thinking it might produce a more impressive spike this year. Ha! Nonetheless, this is a gorgeous, medium-sized orchid that is easy to grow and suitable even for small spaces. Have a watch to see where the bloom colors and patterns came from!

Hi Dana, I’m so excited to see the blooms on this orchid and have you talk about it’s ancestry. I’ve recently purchased Younghome Coco and it has its first spike coming right now. We are in early winter here in Australia so it will be interesting to see how my plant blooms around about August/Sept. Thanks for featuring this Phal and it’s lovely blooms.

I bought this one last December, I repotted it as I usually do with new one. But I lost all the roots.
I called the nursery I purchased from. Since it lost all roots so quickly, they sent me another. Same thing happened and I was very careful over water. It came in moss, so first time I put into combination of moss and bark. I was very careful with amt of water used. Same with second one.
I did keep both, I first one lost every root. I have in a small pot slightly damp, and just sitting on top under a glass dome. It has two new leaves and a speck of what may be a root coming. The other one had one very small root left. I did same thing, it has two new leaves but no added roots. I have only been trying to keep the moss around in pot damp. Might you have a suggestion of anything else I should. I haven’t fed it or given it cal mag or seaweed ext.
