Quick tip: driving while low on fuel can wear out the fuel pump. Always keep your tank full.
And consider switching to Led headlights. Leds don't draw that much electricity and if you leave them on with the car off they likely won't completely drain your battery.

I have done a lot of tinkering around with my Trucks fuel pump to experience stalling. After watching this video, It's nice to know that a Stalling engine is something I can work on myself. And not pay a mechanic a thousand dollars to just look at.

Thank you for the info, I have been working on my car for 2 days trying to figure out why does it misfire and stall, I went from fuel pump, lines, coils, distributer, plugs etc.. But couldn't find anything wrong. I saw your video and decided to charge the battery although it looked pretty healthy but at this point I was really disperate and when I turn the ignition it just stuttered for a couple of seconds and then was pretty healthy! Thank you for helping a fellow confused man! 🙏🏼

1. Bad fuel pump relay
2. Bad ignition switch
3. Intake leak
4. In some models, the Asd relay.

People should check the small things first before jumping into changing expensive components.
Could be sensors, relays, wires, spark plugs, fuses, air leak in hose, lose component, bad gas grade, ignition switch, dirty oil and filter, clogged air intake, bad distributor etc.

Okay I'll agree with 3 reasons you do not need your battery if you have a good alternator the battery does not keep your car running your battery has nothing to do with any of your electrical why you engine is running if you have a good alternator

Awesomely explained, it looks my car stalling due to 4th reason, it’s engine stops while driving 60/70 Kmph but it starts smoothly by key don’t know what going on but looks more of electrical problem Thanks a lot.

A bad plate inside the battery can also cause stalling. It will start and run fine but stall when you hit a bump and jar the battery. Similar effect to a bad ground or loose terminal. It can also cut out at other random intervals. Can be hard to diagnose because the battery will start the vehicle just fine but doesn't leave any codes on the computer.

I have a 1995 Lexus sc400. It looks like it has wires running to the spark plugs not coil packs. It has been sitting for 4 years. So I drained the old gas and put 5 gallons of fresh new gas. My car is having a hard time starting. It cranks and cranks before it turns over. Sometimes it takes several tries. It started after two or three tries and ran perfectly fine for 30 minutes or so at normal operating temp. When i revved the engine at idle it would have a small hiccup or cough at the higher rpms, a very faint backfire. Shortly after, the temp gauge started to rise slightly and the car just shut off. Hard to start again, would crank but not start. do you know what it could be?
