Sadly nowadays the vast majority of quality hinges (especially the soft-close ones) do not have removable screws, so the light cannot be mounted. I bought a few of these lights only to find out they were not compatible with a single hinge I have at home, so they went directly to the trashcan.

Thank you. Mine didn’t come with a screw and the instructions on the back of the pack only mentioned to push it onto the mounting plate. So I was quite confused. I watched your video, then I just used the screw that was already mounted on. I love this little device

these don't fit all cupboard hinges.. just got a pack, same model but as my adjusting screws are recessed inside the hinge, the plate now blocks that recess meaning the screws are no longer long enough to reach the threaded be wary of that

You dont necessarily need to mount them on the hinge

What if the back screw doesn't come off? The front screw doesn't either.

That's a neat light idea Fred. I didn't realize those batteries were 12 volt. I am wondering how many would you need to start a car HAHAHA.
