The mother of those two young men said "stay there...don't come home". Very wise.

It is absolutely incredible how one mans decision to declare war on Ukraine has destroyed so many lives killed so many people and traumatized our future generations. PEACE is all we wish for....

Back in the day after the soviet union broke up, I visited St Petersburg as a merchant marine engineer (food aid wheat shipments) and found the Russian people friendly, welcoming, and optimistic about their future. It is sure sad to see this country fall into kleptocracy ruled over by an autocrat in the process of becoming just another Stalin. So much promise and hope dashed to pieces.

The irony, if these two were to go back home, they would surely be sent to fight for Russia. At the moment, they seem much safer in Thailand.

I hope the Russians in Phuket are seeing what’s really going on to Ukrainians and tell the truth to their friends and family back home. I also hope that they are all safe and get home safely. God bless the good people of Russia and everyone in Ukraine.

These folks need to find an option that does not include going back to Putin's Russia.

There are Russian victims as well. Not just the Ukrainians. There are a lot of Russians that are against this war. Some speak out and pay the price. They have to survive especially when abroad. It’s not their fault that Putin and his government decided to start this war. My heart goes out to them and all of the Ukrainians in this hellish nightmare and there needs to be an end with the guilty parties being tried for war crimes.

if I were them, I would just stay right there. Because if they would go back to Russia, Putin would put them them in his army, or I should say he would force them. They are safe there.

Regardless of the situation this boys didn’t personally do anything to deserve this. It is a scary situation.

Thank you so much for spreading this information with the world, it’s very important.
Many people like myself feel absolutely trapped in this regime with no hope of getting out to other countries, and no hope of being accepted by the foreigners for the terrible acts of violence conducted by the military and the government

That was the most beautiful sentence I've heard today: "Russians help Ukrainians, and Ukrainians help Russians." it literally brought tears to my eyes

Better than going home to Russia to become soldiers

My heart goes out to those people. They are nobody's enemy. They are no different from me. Just trying to live their lives. It is depressing that such a small group of individuals can cause so much suffering to so many.

Just imagine what would happen if all the innocent Russians who are against the war go to Ukraine and take up arms against Putin.

Would be nice if Thai gov allows them to work to get by till this shameful war is over.

Best option might be to try getting approval to move oversees. Many Russians are leaving. They don't know how bad the economy is getting there either.

Being stuck abroad at a beautiful resort doesn’t seem as bad as having your leg blown off by a Russian missile after having delivered your family to relative safety, then going back to rescue your three dogs, your dad asking you to finish him off because he was in excruciating pain and realized his fate. Seeing two of your three dogs having been blown up. I watched the video the son was recording on his phone. I wish I hadn’t. Being stuck abroad is more than a piece of cake even if you have to sleep under the stars and ask for a meal or two. Your parents are wise to tell you to stay where you are. Many Russian people are blissfully unaware, and they are innocent in all of this. The rest of the world is painfully aware of what is taking place. Please pray for all people everywhere 🙏🏼

It says so much that even though they’re stranded abroad, they’re still so afraid of their government. In that situation, I wouldn’t hesitate to criticize my government or go to the nearest embassy for my country, things we take for granted. I hope they are able to go home to a country no longer at war, as soon as possible.
