Just too many mistakes today. Missed tackles, missed opportunities on turnovers. Jordan seemed out of focus in Q2. In reality, I did not expect us to go undefeated but felt like this was one we should have won.

Not a terrible loss. FSU is still climbing, they patched together a team from the portal, literally plugged in some playmakers from the portal into a 5-7 team and have looked pretty good. Wake Forrest is a veteran team with a very good QB, this is Wake Forrest at full power, and not only is this not FSU at Full power (full power FSU looks like 2013's team) but this was not even a full power FSU 2022 team, Lovett out, a hurt Verse and 2 O line injuries really hurt FSU here but they still found a way to make it a respectable score. Not a bad loss, I Am SUPER disappointed but its nowhere near the type of angst after an upset loss or something like that. I say if FSU can pull off a win against Clemson or NCState it will be a W for this stretch of the season with key injuries and a non existent kicking game . Don't sell the ship yet Nole fans! GO Noles!

When you look back at it, it was a really bad first half. FSU actually won the second half, even with the mistakes and missed opportunities. Defense made adjustments. But the offense couldn’t make it when it had to. That actually surprised me because Wake is not known for having good defense. I thought FSU would do better on offense. I still think the team is improved from last year. But it does have a couple of very challenging weeks ahead. As for the kicker, at this point I’m sorry for the guy. It’s a mental thing at this point. Remember Aguayo? He made all sorts of kicks in college and got a mental block at the NFL. It’s hard to get out of that.

Do we not have a back up kicker? I feel bad for him and I am sure he made the cut at some point but something has gone wrong and he needs to be working on his skills. He is going to cost us a lot more games in the future.

One thing you cannot say is that the fans were not awesome and did not show up and were loud. The MARCHING CHIEFS WERE TOTALLY AWESOME TODAY BEST THEY HAVE BEEN SINCE OUR NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP SEASON GREAT JOB CHIEFS, THE TEAM, well mistakes, block in the back, holding calls, false starts, got to tighten up guys, NC State and then Clemson. We know that you can beat both of these teams but you cannot shot yourself in the foot by having these penalties

This is exactly why I have been telling people to not be like Miami and say we are back because of a few wins. We got ranked for one week and back out just like that. Much better start than last year and now that LSU is ranked, we can say we have beaten a ranked team I guess. But my gut is telling me we are going to lose the next 2 games. I think we'll possibly have 7 wins to make a bowl game but NC State and Clemson are looking like losses IMO. Hope not.
