What is the major difference between private cloud and on-prem? I am quite confused about it. They both seems to be the same thing because in private cloud also, It seems Company is setting up its own infrastructure to host the apps on it which seems to be same as on prem solution

Love the presenter but this explanation falls short in the same way as the last three videos i've watched. The explanation of private cloud sounds exactly like the on-premise solution that companies have been using since the dawn of e-commerce. Maybe it's my own limitations but I still can't conceptualize the difference.

Public cloud costs build up depending on how much data is moved in and out of the cloud, for instance application fetches from a database.

However in private cloud does not have this cost component as one operates only in their own domain
