Just listening to him explain this I had involuntary goosebumps over my entire body. I must have had a reaction to the distant memory of that day in 1977. I was 9 years old.

He's so right. I watched it twice in the theater when it opened in NYC. I'd never seen effects like that.

I certainly remember the first trilogy of Star Wars in the '80's. People were intrigued by such a film. Many people were always speaking about it. That's my favorite trilogy.

Harrison doesn't speak like this enough. Usually, he's sarcastic, quirky, and cynical. I suppose doing so many press tours can annoy anyone. But it's nice to see him express an honest moment of awe.

I remember that too. Just as Harrison Ford described it. I was 16 years old and I loved Star Trek. After school my brothers and sisters all gathered together for Star Trek.
Then when Star Wars came out...😮...OMG!
This film was everything that I had never imagined it could be. It blew me away. I must have seen it at the theater at least 12 times.
I still love it! ❤️

Absolutely true. I was second in line to see Star Wars and thought it was unique and absolutely amazing. Still do.

The brilliance of music composer John Williams. He is very humble, and he has a wonderful, dry wit. I have seen him being interviewed many times. Conversely, if you want to sob uncontrollably, listen to the theme from the film, Schindler's List, composed by Mr. Williams. He put his heart, soul, and guts into this theme. Then again, he always does that. Thank you, sir, for provoking so many of our emotions, while we watch so many films.

I saw Star Wars in San Francisco first day, second showing. After that the line was so long it wrapped around the block and you had to wait two or three showings to get in. Amazing film.

harrison never liked star wars but he was never dumb enough to look past all the amazing things lucas was doing for the film industry alone

Agree Mr Ford, twas a fantastic beginning and just got better; however, I’d seen movies like it before as I grew up watching Westerns every Saturday morning. Somebody asked me what Star Wars is about. I said it’s a Space Western.

The best things werent the special effects.
The vest things were the Great Characters and conversations and the geat story... beginning, middle and end.

But the special effects and the Music were awesome ❤

It had the same effect on me. Too bad the last 5-6 films didn't even come close.

They watched old movie sci fi serials and basically copied, updated, and created off of those. They took what worked best. The scroll is typical.
Indiana Jones was done the same way.
