【 smooth hair physics for x&y ! 】live2d step-by-step guide

my poor attempt at teaching hair physics lol

today's lesson is... hair physics (duh)! here i do both x and y hair physics, i think it really makes a model... juicy :D i also show some things i tweaked on my model but i completely forgot to do shadows (again). i think it should be pretty self explanatory though!

i show 4 different methods of rigging it, but i don't do any skinning !! my techniques are basically skinning though (but with way more work) also we are on live2d cubism 4.2.03 now! the most recent update was just big fixes and minor changes though, so don't worry too much about it. i hope this helps you guys out!!!

Omg, I can't believe I survived rigging so so many layers of hair. I love the jellyfish effect!! Took me a bit to understand it, but in the end I got it. Thanks for these tutorials!

Wanna add something to 20:15 : You can actually use VtubeStudios tracking in Live2D. So you dont have to export it every time you wanna see how that looks~

I just want to start out by saying thank you so much for going out of your way to make these tutorials! I am someone who learns/understands unusually slow and can't pick up things as quickly as the average person, which can cause someone to take advantage of me pretty easily... So I want to do this on my own, plus I have no money to pay for full fledged rigged models like most others do. 😅 I've watched others do this and could never understand anything no matter how 'simple' they put it in their terms. You get straight to the point and explain as you go which I love since I'm a visual learner aswell (once someone over explains without showing much of what they did I get lost very quickly... ). You made my dream seem more reachable/tangible than before when I thought I'd never reach it. Thank you thank you!! Hope to learn more soon!!💙💜

P.S. You gained a new subscriber ✌️😋

I love how you do one that's applicable for the free version

I'm so excited to eventually use all of these tutorials!

I’ve found that while using the free version I’ll use the nice warp method for the front and very visible hair and then the back and kinda hidden hair I’ll try and save my warps lol. Still looks pretty seamless and jiggly tho

Thank you for another great tutorial!! 💜💜💜
The face angles seem ...okay, other than the mouth. It's kicking my tail trying to get the mouth to look right in all the different positions from all the different angles. I'd love to see an in depth tutorial on that!
