We need this style of architecture to come back all over the United States. It is hopeful and aspirational. I think 60 years of building soulless glass cubes, shopping centers with box stores, and copy-and-paste vinyl stick houses, our cities and towns have become bland at best. I think when places are beautiful and awe-inspiring, everyone cares more.

Nice to see an historic building in Detroit that's been brought back to life.

From the tragedy of losing Penn Station in New York to this remarkable resurrection, it restores one's faith in society and what it values. No wonder the people who worked on it were so emotional - being able to duplicate the phenomenal craftsmanship had to be a labour of love. They sure don't make buildings like this anymore!

I have visited numerous grand, restored railroad stations over the past 10 years. Cincinnati Union Station, KC Union Station, Chicago, LA and San Diego. I hope that the Detroit Central Station becomes one of the most recognized and cherished. BRAVO!

Ford has always been a very strong supporter of Detroit. They were primary financer of the Renaissance Center. I hope this project will be a success.

As a Toronto resident, hope the station opens to trains once again so people can get to Detroit and possibly Chicago from Canada by train again!

My Uncle was station master there in the 70s. I was sad to see it in disrepair, and watching it crumble was depressing. I am glad they've restored it. Too bad it looks like it won't be used for trains any more.

So much work on the building....They all should be proud of the work they did....I NEVER thought I would see the day that it would be renovated....

HOLY SMOKES!! It is so amazing to see this building restored!!! I snuck into it to admire what was left back in the late 90's on a trip to Detroit and was awe struck by its beauty. It made me sad back then to see such a building in ruins. I am so happy to see it restored and in use again!

Absolutely spectacular. The old girl is back, and she's truly a crown jewel. I also love that some graffiti was kept as art which is now part of this building's history

What a fantastic building! Great to see it being restored. Detroit should be proud of such an amazing structure - up there with other great railway stations of the world, even if it isn't serving passengers anymore. Wishing you all the best from England 👍

I seen this in it's sad state from afar for years and couldn't understand why, it's back to a work of art and beauty.
