Here are the elements of this definition: a set of beliefs; cause, nature, and purpose of the universe; superhuman agency; devotional and ritual observances; moral code governing human action.

First Unitarian Society of Minneapolis

The First Unitarian Society of Minneapolis was founded in 1881 and is a member congregation of the Unitarian Universalist Association. Since 1916 when Rev. John Dietrich became the Senior Minister, the Society has been known as a leading force for Religious Humanism. A century later under our current Senior Minister, Rev. Dr. David Breeden, we more often speak of Congregational Humanism. While we impose no fixed creed, we are agreed upon our aspirations and core values.
