Huge PlayStation Showcase Reveals Teased By Sony Executives

The PlayStation Showcase is right around the corner and Sony employees are teasing a massive event. “People are gonna lose their F****** Minds” if one game is revealed at the event according to David Jaffee. On the PlayStation Showcase September 2021 event, there are also a lot of executives teasing huge reveals for what could be shown. The Sony Showcase also notes that this is not a State of Play. This PS5 showcase event plans to show 40 minutes of different reveals from their partners, and also reveal more after the show in developer interviews.

It's Time for Sony to show multiple games since they haven't in a while. These games have been cooking for a few years! Sony doesn't need to show much either to blow the industry mind.

Hopefully it's new IPs. God of war is good. But, it's just more God of War. Spiderman was great but it's just more Spiderman. Would like to see more diversity. A first party RPG. SHOOTER. anything but Third person adventure games.

I really hope they reveal more on the next game from Team Ico. I absolutely adore that studio. It is one of the most under appreciated studios out there. They’ve only made three games, but those three games have stuck with me more over the years than most other games.

Count on remakes or remastered games to be announced. Seeing GOW would be nice to get an idea as to what the game is going to look like. A new Spider-Man trailer wouldn’t shock me.

Mine guess are:
A 5 minute gameplay demo of God of War (I’m guessing that the game that get the most time during this event)
A gameplay trailer for GT7, Horizon Forbidden West, Forspoken and maybe FF16 with some release dates
New Reveals from their other studios
Probably trailers for Kena and Deathloop (hope I’m wrong though)
Maybe that rumored From software PS5 game
Also what are the odds that they will announce that they acquire Bluepoint games and show off their new remake here

Covid through them a longer cross gen wrench than they wanted, but their plan is still all about getting that mass migration over to ps5.I expect this show is going to set the tone and the bar for next gen on PlayStation. We'll probably see more horizon and god of war, as well as future titles coming from first party that are ways off. There will probably be at least one surprise third party full or timed exclusive game releasing this holiday, and a bunch slated for 2022. Sony better have major in store availability and what not or we are definitely scalpocalypse 2.0 especially if there's another surge and major lock downs in fall/winter
