Sofa Against Wall

How do you place a sofa in an open concept living/dining where the fireplace is the focal point you see immediately upon entering the home from the front door. The fireplace is flanked by windows on either side and the wall opposite the fireplace is the largest wall but that side also seems to be the best area for traffic from front door to the rest of the home. The sofa against the wall doesn’t feel right but leaving 3’ passage way makes the room look cutoff. The room is 12’ wide from fireplace to large wall. The only other wall is 8” perpendicular to the fireplace where we put the TV.
