Sounds like a pinniped carcass. Seals and sea lions can have crazy looking teeth.

If it had hair on it and big scary teeth, maybe it was a marine mammal, like an especially large sea lion.

Legit read "cardborosaurus" thinking of was a cardboard cutout of a dinosaur skeleton or something.

My mind translated cadborosaurus as carburysaurus and all I can picture now is a massive chocolate sea monster roaming the waters of the Pacific Northwest

The Smithsonian not having samples they were supposed to? Go figure. Just like Giant skeletons.

Marco Polo recorded in his journal, that the king of China had dragons (dinosaurs) and he described a terrifying variety that perfectly fit that of a T-Rex

I bet it ended up at Longview, WA's Marsh's Museum along with the corpse of famous half-man, half-gator, Jake the Alligator Man.

Sometimes the giant whale in the childrens book Pinnochio is drawn to look more like an oarfish.

Fish with "hair" are typically fish that was rotted underwater to the point that their muscular fibers are spread out. It would mean the thing had been rotting for several months. Transporting that thing out of the water would turn it to mush very very quickly

I watched a video about that and I heard that there were a couple of people who went fishing and caught a baby version they were thinking about keeping it but it was crying so much the let it go
