Secret trick to get Final Cut Pro to match the looks from big movies:

I often will see a certain scene from a movie and feel just mesmerized by the look of it.

The set design, the lighting, the wardrobe all go into creating this certain color palette that is just ART.

I often will try to find ways to emulate these looks in my own work...

But sometimes it's hard to put a finger on just how the dp and colorist are creating the look.

Well I have found a way to let Final Cut Pro to do a majority of the heavy lifting with it's built-in match feature.

I want to show you how to use it on your video so you can get closer to achieving the look of films that you enjoy!

If color grading ever seems too daunting or overwhelming I want to let you know of an easier way that I have found to achieving big looks.

I set out to create an easier way to color grade that literally lets you click on the image and make color changes.

This plugin is called Cinema Grade and it works in Final Cut Pro bypassing the traditional color controls that are confusing and dated.

You can try it out risk free and get 20% OFF from this video by using coupon code 'YouTube20' at checkout.

You can do the same thing in Resolve as well - just an FYI for those not using Final Cut.

Yeh, problem with Color Grading Central is - it is constantly out of date. You get red screens. No auto upgrades. You will find yourself constantly contacting CG. Frustrating... just to say the least

i am interested in buying Cinema Grade, but I'd love to see some tutorial videos about it. Can you direct me to them for FCPX? Thank you.

This is so Cool. I also never knew to bring an effect to the bottom of the stack to have it apply over. That was a a huge game changer for me.

hello friend.
I'm new to your channel
I'm always getting your emails
I'm really enjoying your videos
I feel like I need an upgrade in my movies.
I work with final cut and I am very limited in basic color adjustment.
I'm not sure which investment
which one would you recommend for working with small corporate productions and weddings?
I'm in doubt between Color Finale 2 or Cinema Grade.
I like Cinema Grade because it is very practical.
Color finale appears to be very complete but complex with several adjustment options somewhat reminiscent of Davinc Resolve.
Your help will be welcome.
I'm using Google Translate, I hope you understood my message.
Congratulations on the channel, we Brazilians really appreciate the content.
PS. not all videos youtube offers translation in the caption 😭

Do you know if there is an AI tool that can make digital look like 35mm film? I don't just mean a LUT or colours. I mean turning digital video into something that is indistinguishable from movies shot on 35mm film. If that is on the horizon it will change everything.
