You can trade currencies in futures markets also. The contract names and pip/tick values are different though. Example Contract 6e is euro/usd margin is $525 and each pip is worth $12.50. contract 7e is mini euro/usd with a margin of $262 and pips are worth $6.25. The smallest euro/usd contract is m6e micro contract with a pip value of $1.25 and margin of $52.50. Every currency has a standard, mini and micro contract. So even if you only have a couple of hundred to play with, there is a contract size for you. The micro contract is like trading a .12 lot in regular fx

You can make money with a 2k account in futures you just have to trade on the higher time frames and be patient for the pull back to jump in.

I followed the herd and moved to Futures to only find myself going back to Forex for longer term trading. Now I do both but you cannot beat the liquidity of Forex if trading daily charts. Mixing both is a pain but allows me to be more patient on daily charts while day trading Futures.
