This movie is a perfect example of why we need to teach our children the value of working for what you get in life. Vida never had consequences for her selfish self-centered Acts. She took everything and everyone for granted. She had no morals, no ethics. And NO gratitude. So SAD!!!

Watch the original JOAN CRAWFORD MILDRED PIERCE movie. Its absolutely superior & the best Crawford film ever! You wont be confused & can easily follow this suspenseful surprising at every turn, film, that Joan won the Oscar for in 1946.

I loved this series but I really could not stand Veda (especially the child version of her). Absolutely evil sociopathic character clearly afflicted by a personality disorder

Both this, and the original, is predictable, implausible and full of plot holes. I don't get why it's considered to be so great. I guess ya hadda read the book.
